Sean Carey
Sean earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Colorado State University. He attended Texas Tech University School of Law and graduated in 2010. That same year, he passed the Texas Bar Exam and was admitted to practice law in Texas. In 2022, Sean passed the Arizona Bar Exam and is now licensed to practice law in both Arizona and Texas.
Sean primarily focuses his practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related business planning matters, while also handling select personal injury and wrongful death cases. His estate planning practice includes the preparation of revocable living trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, and advanced planning strategies tailored to each client’s specific family and financial circumstances. Sean works closely with individuals, families, business owners, and retirees to design comprehensive estate plans that address asset protection, tax efficiency, incapacity planning, and multigenerational wealth transfer.
In addition to drafting foundational estate planning documents, Sean advises clients on trust funding, beneficiary designations, business succession planning, and coordination with financial advisors and tax professionals. He assists trustees and personal representatives with trust administration and probate matters, helping them navigate fiduciary duties, creditor issues, and court procedures with clarity and confidence. Sean is particularly focused on ensuring that estate plans are not only technically sound, but also practical, clearly written, and aligned with each client’s long term goals and values.
Sean is originally from southwest Colorado. Sean and his wife Amanda enjoy travelling, working out together, and volunteering in their church community. In 2022, they welcomed their first child, a girl they named Phoebe.
